Reviews and Ratings
I was thrilled with the central location of the hotel, right in the heart of Moscow within walking distance to all the attractions and restaurants. The room was a unique ode to the original design and absolutely stunning; however, it lacked the room divider as shown in the pictures online. It was a comfortable place to rest after a day of touring, conveniently located at the front of the hotel instead of around the corner on a side street.
Staying at this hotel was a wonderful experience overall. The rooms, at excellent prices, were quiet and clean, with the delightful bonus of a fountain nearby with fish swimming around. The service, from the welcoming main desk to the room service, was top-notch. The location, near iconic Moscow landmarks and offering a beautiful old Victorian design breakfast, was a definite highlight. The dining experience provided a diverse selection of tasty dishes, although it could have been improved slightly, given the hotel's 5-star status.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, but we were placed on different floors despite requesting to be together with our kids. The hotel ambiance was pleasant with a pianist and a fountain with fish, yet the room had a strange shape and a slight smell of old pipes. The working desk was small, and there were not enough power points nearby.
